Projects - Organize Your Work
Projects help you group related notebooks, knowledge files, and team members together. Use them to organize work by topic, client, or initiative.
Overview
A project contains:
- Notebooks - Related conversation sessions
- Files - Knowledge documents for reference
- Members - Team collaborators
- System Prompts - Project-wide AI context
Creating a Project
- Navigate to Projects from the sidebar
- Click Create Project
- Enter a name and description
- Optionally add initial notebooks or files
- Click Create

Managing Notebooks in Projects
Adding Notebooks
From the Project:
- Open your project
- Go to the Sessions tab
- Click Add Sessions
- Search and select notebooks to add
- Click Add Selected
From a Notebook:
- Open the notebook's menu
- Select Add to Project
- Choose the target project
Removing Notebooks
- In the project's Sessions tab
- Find the notebook you want to remove
- Click the remove icon
- Confirm removal
Note: Removing a notebook from a project doesn't delete it. The notebook remains in your library.
Searching & Filtering
- Use the search bar to find notebooks by name
- Filter by tags
- Sort alphabetically or by date
Managing Files
Attach knowledge files to your project for shared reference.
Adding Files
Upload New Files:
- Go to the Project Files tab
- Drag and drop files, or click Upload
- Files are processed and added to the project
Add Existing Files:
- Click Add Files
- Browse your knowledge library
- Select files and confirm
File Actions
- Preview - View file contents
- Remove - Remove from project (doesn't delete the file)
- Search - Find files by name
- Sort - By name or upload date
Collaboration & Members
Share projects with team members for collaborative work.
Inviting Members
- Go to the Members tab
- Click Invite Members
- Enter email addresses
- Send invitations
Invited users receive a notification and can accept to join the project.
Managing Members
- View Members - See all active project members
- Pending Invites - Track outstanding invitations
- Remove Access - Revoke a member's access
- Leave Project - Remove yourself from a shared project

System Prompts
Add project-wide AI context that applies to all conversations.
What Are System Prompts?
System prompts are instructions or context given to AI before your conversation. Project system prompts provide consistent context across all notebooks in the project.
Adding System Prompts
- Go to the System Prompts tab
- Click Add System Prompt
- Select a knowledge file containing your prompt
- The prompt is added and enabled by default
Managing System Prompts
- Enable/Disable - Toggle prompts on or off without removing them
- View - See the content of the prompt
- Remove - Remove the prompt from the project

- Role instructions - Define how AI should behave
- Domain knowledge - Technical specifications or terminology
Project Cards
On the Projects page, each project shows:
- Name - Project title
- Description - Brief summary
- Owner - Who created the project
- Last Updated - When changes were made
- Counts - Number of notebooks, files, and members
Quick Actions
Click the menu on a project card to:
- Edit - Update name and description (owner only)
- Delete - Remove the project (owner only)

Organizing Projects
- One project per initiative - Don't overload projects
- Descriptive names - Make projects easy to find
- Regular cleanup - Remove outdated notebooks and files
Collaboration
- Invite early - Add members when starting work
- Use system prompts - Maintain consistency
- Document in descriptions - Explain the project's purpose
With Notebooks
- Create new notebooks within context - Reference project files
- Use project-specific agents - Consistent AI behavior
- Fork for experiments - Branch without affecting shared work
FAQ
Can a notebook be in multiple projects?
Yes, notebooks can belong to multiple projects. This is useful when a conversation is relevant to several initiatives.
What happens when I delete a project?
Deleting a project removes the organizational container. Notebooks and files within the project are NOT deleted—they remain in your library.
Can I transfer project ownership?
Currently, project ownership cannot be transferred. The original creator remains the owner.
How many members can a project have?
There's no hard limit on project members, but consider your organization's seat limits.
